You Have to Tour This Custom Cabin in Alaska | Handmade Home
Tanya never had any desire to build a house, and Carson knew he was going to build his future home from when he was in highschool. After spending two years designing and building their dream cabin, (which included lots of DIYs and YouTube tutorials), Tanya and Carson have a plant-filled, intentional warm space to come home to. Tour their sanctuary with us in Anchorage, Alaska, and spot their favorite DIY project.

You would think, by looking at them, that they are so different, why or how are they together ? Until, you watch this video, and see what a great compliment they are to each other and are actually quite similar, in many ways. Cute couple, beautiful house.

Very nice house, from what we saw in this video. The artwork was, er, um, ah, interesting. If we were to play The Drinking Game with how many times she said the word
"like", there would be many drunk people watching this. I guess it’s a generational use of language?
I found it funny that her favorite thing was the Smeg refrigerator, (and not something handmade) but then they didn’t show it or tell us why they decided on that one. All in all, I enjoyed seeing a cool house in Alaska being featured. And they had a cute dog too.

I like the architecture of the home, and the fantastic windows (and the lush plant babies). As I am not a minimalist, nor a fan of an entirely neutral design palate – I don’t feel qualified to comment on their home decor. However, I don’t have to personally connect with their aesthetic to recognize this space suits them, and they love it. That’s ultimately what counts… not some internet stranger’s opinion. 🙂
