โ Day 1-3 (1X Daily)
Add 1 tbsp water + 1 tbsp flour
โ Day 4 onwards (2X Daily)
Add 1 tbsp water + 1 tbsp flour
And thatโs it, no more confusion about how much to discard!
It took 8 days for the starter to double at an average proofing temperature of 25C
Try it and let me know if the merhod works for you!
PS:
Its best to store your starter in a warm place (25-28C) to encourage fermentation.

do you continue feeding everyday 2x daily? also how long in-between the double day feedings? like in the morning when you wake up and then at night before going to bed?
I gotta say thank you, I already make the starter and it turns out PERFECT๐ I’ve been making sourdoughs for 3 mont now thank you very much!
Thank you so much. i always found other methods to be so wasteful.
What is the elastic band for?
I was told that if you are making any kind of sourdough with store bought flour, itโs not sourdough. True?
Great! What should I know for long term of making this.
Thank you for the recipe. Anyway, anyone can tell me how to store the sourdough starter if we don’t use it recently?
What is the purpose of the elastic band?
Why mine is runny ? ๐ญ๐ญ
I tried this and found out measurements wrong! Need to add 1 Tbsp water and 2 Tbsp flour! Haven’t gotten any further than Day 5! Was too liquidy! Started added 1 Tbsp water to 2 Tbsp flour for Day 6.
I tried but it grow mold on 2nd day
I was searching for almost 5 days and found this video – to the point thank u
Love this but what is the elastic band for?
Please teaching after that’ its so much help.
okay, how much do I use to bake… and then how do I keep on feeding it? What happens when I miss the feeding time?
Does the specific type of flour matter?
I made a mistake and started feeding the dough twice from the 3rd day, do I have to restart or is it ok to continue?
Thank you
So after the 8th day we can use to make the bread
I’m trying 1st day today… Let’s see how it goes! I’ll report back. Thanks โค๐
this is how de-ssing plugins were invented
i’m surprised you don’t need any sugar!
What, happens on days 5,6,7? Onwards 2x.
I love this one very simple and easy to followโคsome of the videos i watched were like making a bioligical weapon or something๐
Iโm on day 8 but my starter still looks wet and no signs of rising though there are small bubbles helps
What kind of flour?
Thank you! Short and sweet and to the point. I didnโt understand the other videos that said to discard half.
Iโm nervous, but ready to start this journey of making bread in this manner. โค๐ ๐๐๐ป
I still cannot believe a 10:1:1 ratio of feeding on day 7 onwards will make it double, is this really legit?
Geez, finally, a video on how to make the freaking starter ๐ ๐ ๐
Do you store it in the fridge?
Thinking of trying with one teaspoon flour : water
hi
i made startter & it floud on water ok?
but i used it with my flour & water & salt
& never my dough fermented
why?
From 4th day onwards is it 2 tbsp all at once or 2 separate times on those days ?
Why do you need the band around the jar?
what we do next lol
Than you so much for this!
Thereโs no need to have this much counter starter unless youโre baking for an army? I prefer lots of discard because those get used so much making endless discard recipes. Nothing is wasted and you always have fresh perfect size starter for bread in the counter (without it exploding everywhere)
Thank you!
I have felt terrible discarding half each day! Why are people still pushing cups of flour and water??! Trying this next time, thank you so much.
Itโs been so cold, I canโt get my starter to .. start.
Even placing it in the warm oven doesnโt work. I tried my heating pad, nothing. Warm window sill, nothing.
Iโm using KA Bread Flour (Unbleached) and bottled water. Thatโs it. And nothing.
Itโs consistently 68 in the house, sometimes 70-72.
So frustrating ๐
How much starter do you use for a loaf of bread?
some one please share a no nonsense sourdough emmer wheat video too
Leave in roome temperature or in freeze?
Can you give me recipe to make the bread using this starter.
I have started itโs day 4
This method works 1 and 1 works for the first 3 days after that 2 and 2 table spoon of flour and water if you feed twice daily you never need to refrigerate your start just disagard and add new flour
My tablespoon of flour and water do not create the dough form in your video, but more a pool of liquid. Am I using the worng flour or something?
thank you for this video.. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to make sourdough bread but I’m worried about discarding..
I will give it a try.
Halo, is it okay if I donโt use the elastic band? Thank you for the recipe, iโm going to make the starter for the first time in my life with your recipe!๐
