You said in the video how you can use 2×6, 2×8, or 2×10 for the base. What size do you recommend using? My son likes the bed higher but my concern is the extra weight sitting on the tile floor.

Hey I love your video! I just have a kinda two part question. I want to build this but add a headboard and canopy to it. How would I go about doing that? I’m honestly scared to try but I’m tired of my bed being on the floor! I’m going to ask someone working at Menards or home Depot to help me with the measurements so hopefully I can bring everything home pre cut.

im embarrassed to say it took me longer than it should have to realize the led strobing was coming from your feet instead of having installed them on the boards before you put the frame together😂

Looking to build this for our bed frame!! What’s the measurement from the base to the wall, we want to keep our pets from going behind there, do you remember off top of your head? We’re going to close up underneath as well so they can’t get under the bed as well.

Hey man not sure if you remember me from last week but I’m building it this week in the next couple of days and had 2 last questions. When your screwing in A3 to A1,A2, and A5, you show yourself screwing in a 3 in. fastener in the middle and bottom, are those the only 2 spots or did you do a 3rd up top. Sorry if the question is confusing it’s hard to explain. Second question is what size fasteners did you use for the simpson strong ties? Thanks brother

Dude Ive been scouring the internet for an easy (first time wood worker for myself) DYI floating bed WITH storage. I ended up designing something myself, took like 6 hours to get it all flushed out. And then I stumble upon this video 😅
Hello im doing my DIY project this weekend and im just want to make sure i get the right wood so if you could please break the measurements down to me like a 5th grader…..is it a 2 by 6 by 8 by 10 or does the 8 and 10 mean something different??
These measurements are for a King Size bed correct? && I don’t need the notches correct? Hopefully going to build this weekend.
Took your idea and ran with it, I made it a little wider and longer and swapped out the inner 2×6’s with 2×4’s that way the box spring sits in the frame locking itself in so it can’t slide all over then cut the ends at 45 so with a nice sanding comes out seamless but thank you for laying down the ground work, super simple and great video 👍🏻
Im building this now but have a question. If im going to add the headboard how many inches should the 2 side pieces go over at the top?
Are the measurements the same if I miter the corners
Can you swap the design so the storage opens up on the sides instead of the feet ?
