My 5:
1) fixed blade knife
2) 9" folding saw
3) cordage
4) filtration system
5) hammock (mine has a built in tarp, straps, and mosquito netting.)
With that setup, I can (and have) spend quite a lot of time in the woods, all of it is extremely lightweight and can be stored on my belt. If I need to start a fire, I can either do a friction fire or find any piece of flint or quartz-like rock and strike it across the spine of my knife for a really nice spark. I can build a semi-permanent shelter in a couple hours if the weather turns bad and it’s too much for my hammock. Between the folding saw and knife, it’s easy work.
its not survival kit..we asians called it camping kit..survival kit only two which is knife and lighter/steel to light up fire..thats it..thats how we do in asia..we dont bring modern equipment..thats how you learn to survive with knife and matches or steel to light up fire..if you success with those two then youre good at survival skills..

I would take: a knife, a thing for water, my glasses, layers, and some chocolate. I didn’t bring a lighter, I can just make a pump drill. I smoke tobacco, and I didn’t bring a lighter. If I got cranky, the chocolate would help me not be a jerk, so more efficient.

You can build a filter. The pot would have been my choice.
Russian spy
I think a chicken is more valuable than a tarp. A tarp is way more likely to be found and easily accessible than an egg laying hen
This guy’s too big for his haircut, send him into the woods, let’s see how long he lasts without taking hair gel, in those 5.
