Why thank you for this information! And absolutely love that you sound as if you’re talking to an elementary age person. Nothing wrong with that, however most people who need and are looking for this information are ADULTS. It’s insulting to be talked down to like this.
So the Amish build green houses the way everyone else does… Got it.
You want to get in shape stay with the Amish and work with them.
Turning compost kills microorganisms in the soil.
damn…even the amish use milwaukee power tools ! Their marketing skills are legendary 😂
3 minutes in, and I’m starting to feel like my time is being wasted here.
they control the narrative. but the amish figured out things we were never supposed to know. Just read the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller and youll see it as it is
no need for a greenhouse. Whenever you need some greens to make a salad, just remember there is this video of perfect word salad. What a waste of time!
Not sure if I want to follow the example of a hypocritical, animal abusing, ignorant, inbred cult members.
If were dreaming;
For new builds with large budgets, use a stone and water filled cement or plastic cistern dead center, buried 4-5 ft below surface, insulated around all 4 walls and floor. During day, use roof mounted solar heaters or burn wood via outdoor furnace to heat water in cistern, in the evening it warms the floor.
I appreciate the video but if you want to learn the real the real untold techniques the amish use go read the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller
nice intro, but the most powerful techniques the amish use are never shared here. go read the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller
This video constantly shows non-Amish greenhouses, including ones lit with light bulbs for example. Ridiculous choice!
BTW: before glass houses became a thing, people built stone walls around fruit trees, which protected them from cold winds and radiated heat at night. It’s far less effective than a glasshouse, but sometimes, even small changes can determine whether you can keep a tree or not…
Sunscreen use has led to an increase in cancers due to the carcinogenic compounds in them so no i will never use sunscreen
10 hours later!!!!!🙄🤔😒😩
Amish plastic from Amish petroleum processing, ah yes, of course
Good God, this video should be 5min long.
I prefer a tiny house… I live in one… but if I had a bunch of kids and a husband… not so much… however I have two other bldgs… one is a utility building with a cistern, bathroom & washing machine & a kitchen. The other bldg is storage, but I can turn it into a hang out room (living room)… that was the original plan… but I have many patio spaces and will probably create a greenhouse room to utilize that way. I live off grid and I’m loving it so much!
I built 3 greenhouses in the amount of time it just took him to blow the Amish
Who knew that armish people knew so much science 👍😁
The water in the barrels does not freeze?
I just wanted u to get to the point.
master of yapanese
I found the perfect solution to growing crops in the winter by moving to south Florida.
Straight to the point without all the snarky comments would be nice!
it takes more heat to boil the water , half hot water freeze faster than cold water . we know so well here above the artic circle
The Amish use a lot of cordless power tools? 😂
Amish do NOT take kindly to being photographed! This narrator has lots of words, but nothing much to say too. These are all practical(not only Amish) uses to provide heat all year, but not in Alaska or even northern US. Below zero does not mean the sun will keep your greenhouse ‘warm’ enough to keep plants alive.
i actually read the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller a few weeks ago. it goes way deeper than anything youll see in videos like these. Highly recommend it
i liked the video, but if you want to see what the amish really do behind the scenes, check out the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller
Painful explanations, metaphors, and similes. Some good info, just painful to get through. I understand the importance of visuals for marketing purposes, but come on write better.
Feels like this was written by a college student that needed to write a 1,000 word essay, so they ramble about nothing for 950 words.
Don’t wear sunscreen, that’s the worst advice, the sun DOES NOT GIVE CANCER, IT GIVES LIFE. Stop buying BigPharma fake science! NEVER WEAR SUN SCREEN, THAT’S WHAT’S GIVING YOU SKIN CANCER. The only sunscreen you need is olive oil. PERIOD.
I didn’t want to wait though 10 minutes of BS to get to the meat
Hot bed. If you have access to manure & straw (or substitutes) – it’s another source of heat & good place to start seedlings.
nice video Showing AMISH using a Electric screws drill gun? LOL
this video reminded me of when i first started digging into this a few years ago. the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller was a total eyeopener
good video, but the amish have deeper traditions that arent really talked about here. the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller explains them all
Wow, I didn’t know you could use the sun to warm a greenhouse! Wasted my time.
1:55 dude is using an electric drill footage isn’t even of Amish people
It’s called the sun.
DO NOT WATCH
Plan on building two greenhouses this year and next year. Going to dig a trench around the perimeter 6′ deep then put 6" of foam board insulation in the trench. This keeps the green house dirt floor between 55° and 65° all the time. During the day it warms up then cools off a little at night. For very cold nights I plan on using a bubble plastic pool cover over the top.
Carrots are better cold too… I just started growing beets… in early spring… it was warm when they were ready… can’t wait to try them in the winter now! Lots of great info here… thanks!
appreciate the effort, but the amish way is way deeper than this. read the hidden amish handbook by daniel miller if you want the real deal.
So many words, so much repeating phrases, just get to the point.
Awesome, but needs more storage space and a garage. Can you do a full walk around video of the inside and include all the rooms?
I see geothermal green houses where they fig n lay pipes in ground but i also see others usong composting to heat green houses and they qdd big 55 gallon drims of water and leaves n mulch also like i hear him judt now saying as im typing lol
The Amish are cruel to their farm animals. No respect.
