Please use beeswax instead of highly carcinogenic paraffin, especially inside.

  5. @michaelkelsey574 on March 2, 2025 at 9:09 pm

Yeah I use a candle to start fires.

  6. @robs1utubeaccount on March 2, 2025 at 9:09 pm

These cans use coating that contains bisphenol, correct? So, cooking with them may create toxins that a person breathes or potentially ingests?

  7. @e7ix on March 2, 2025 at 9:10 pm

What are you doing with the leftover wax?

  8. @InformationEngineer59 on March 2, 2025 at 9:11 pm

I feel like there’s cheaper less wasteful alternatives to the metal like a ruler

If this is supposed to be "how to survive the wilderness", I have to say it’s redundant.

    Guide on how to survive;

    1. Firstly buy all the equipment and ingredients to be able to survive.

    2. You’ve failed.

    3. Stay home and read a book.

  11. @mamalannightshyaman on March 2, 2025 at 9:17 pm

I can make a normal sized fire like this by disassembling my car with a sawzall, welding the wheel wells together, making some baking soda volcanos and doing a crossword puzzle

  12. @スローラむフ-x9g on March 2, 2025 at 9:17 pm

What did you melt? A candle?

  13. @LordOfElysium on March 2, 2025 at 9:19 pm

I have a scentsy wax burner. it’s like a reusable candle, you just buy the scented wax to put in it. And 2-3 times per week I have the replace the wax, so the easiest way is to use cotton pads. I leave a little bit of the cotton bad without wax so I can light it, and ta~da, I now have a bunch of very portable easy fire starters!

  14. @RealBenAnderson on March 2, 2025 at 9:20 pm

Even better than melting blocks of wax, harvest wax from old candles that have burned down and won’t burn anymore. Just melt them down in a Pyrex measuring cup and pour them in. When the thing fills up, start a new one. I used to do this and ended up with dozens of them

  15. @KomiChristopher on March 2, 2025 at 9:21 pm

Question. If I need a stove, how do I heat the wax

  16. @herrhaller6769 on March 2, 2025 at 9:22 pm

  22. @paullelys161 on March 2, 2025 at 9:28 pm

Worked faster than my electric stove in the kitchen.

  23. @mopedJay on March 2, 2025 at 9:35 pm

Only problem with these is the amount of smoke they make sucks to use inside the tent

  24. @wizardothefool on March 2, 2025 at 9:35 pm

Wax is gotta be the most versatile fuel out there

  25. @zeeeena on March 2, 2025 at 9:36 pm

We were taught how to make these in girl scouts in the mid 70’s. We called them a buddy burner

  26. @duhhhh1723 on March 2, 2025 at 9:37 pm

Can you find a plastic or metal lid (0n Amzon ? ) that fits these cans and can you teach us how to seal them to make them waterproof ?? Love your camping tips by the way .

  27. @chickenmomma9239 on March 2, 2025 at 9:38 pm

Get ready America!! This is how we’re going to be living soon. I did not vote for a trator, felon, or sexual degenerate.

  28. @SaylorIsanadult on March 2, 2025 at 9:38 pm

Used my wife’s tongs for this. She was not as amused as I.

  29. @JK-gm6kk on March 2, 2025 at 9:41 pm

Seems like something that has the potential to be profitable. Making the wax soaked cardboard sealed inside the can. To be opened in the event your car breaks down, as a primer for a bigger fire during camping and whatever else.

  33. @TheRedmart on March 2, 2025 at 9:47 pm

  39. @aaronadams2404 on March 2, 2025 at 9:51 pm

    Uses stove to make stove

  40. @Corle0ne on March 2, 2025 at 9:52 pm

Do NOT use an open flame while melting flammable wax! Instead use an electric heat source and preferably a water bath to melt it more carefully

    Salmon can

  42. @craigvarey9230 on March 2, 2025 at 9:53 pm

Similar to a prison stove. Take your metal dinner tray, rip of a strip of bed sheet, smear butter or margarine on it. Then, roll it up, place in your tray and light it.

  43. @JClover4 on March 2, 2025 at 9:54 pm

You can use denatured alcohol or even olive oil as well. My backpack a lot in the forest from San Francisco to Oregon so I can record audio for birds in the forest. Just trying to keep my set up light. I could repurpose alcohol and olive oil. πŸ˜‚πŸŽ‰

  47. @sharksrcbash on March 2, 2025 at 9:59 pm

Whyyyyyyyyyyy. Does every dude on YouTube have this video.

  50. @amandaduckett3093 on March 2, 2025 at 10:01 pm

In Girl Guides we learned how to make stoves similar to this. We called them buddy burners. Same style of heat source, though we would add a wick to the middle. Then it was just a coffee tin turned upside down over it with some holes poked out the top of the sides. Can use the tin to extinguish it as well
