Before getting stuck into the full on build of the solar array I wanted to tick a few things off of the list. So I redesigned my spare tire mount on the van.

Joel! Wear the darn safety glasses!
I have been there, my friend. I was fabricating my IndyCycle in a friend’s shop and was USUALLY in the habit of wearing safety glasses when grinding/cutting metal, but I got impatient/lazy and left my glasses on the work table when I needed to take just a SMIDGE of metal off a tube. Sure enough, *Plink!* Piece of metal into the eyeball. It felt like just a hair or bit of grit, but never washed out and I ended up having to go into an eye clinic at 3 AM that night (next morning) to have it removed. NEVER AGAIN.
Be safe, my friend! Keep those peepers intact!

The final version of the spare tire mount in the video appears to still be using the thin gauge metal from Amazon?
Nice upsidedown mouth cover
