She lost me at bees. I’d rather not attract a bunch of bees near my house so they try to nest in my walls or some s***.

    The Importance of Grass

Grass is one of the most common and important plants on Earth. It covers large parts of our planet, from backyards and parks to farms and open fields. Although it may seem ordinary, grass plays a vital role in the environment, in agriculture, and even in human life.

First, grass is essential for the environment. It helps prevent soil erosion by holding the ground together with its roots. This keeps dirt from washing away during rain and helps water soak into the soil. Grass also cleans the air by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. In addition, grassy areas provide homes and food for many animals, such as insects, rabbits, and birds.

Second, grass is important for farming and food production. Many types of grass, like wheat, rice, and corn, are actually the worldโ€™s main crops. These plants feed both people and livestock. Animals such as cows, sheep, and horses eat grass or hay, which helps produce milk, meat, and other products we use every day.

Finally, grass makes human spaces more beautiful and enjoyable. Lawns, parks, and sports fields are all covered in grass because it creates a soft, green surface that people can walk, play, or relax on. It cools the air, reduces noise, and improves the appearance of cities and towns.

In conclusion, grass may look simple, but it is one of the most useful and important plants in the world. It protects the soil, supports wildlife, provides food, and makes our surroundings pleasant. Without grass, life on Earth would be

Love our clover patch, cuttings for the garden and the chickens. Somewhere soft for the children to play.

  10. @phoenixfireclusterbomb on October 25, 2025 at 12:08 am

I think it’s a great idea! Even better, alfalfa. That can be raked up, bailed, and sold. Needs cut 3 or 3 times a year. A few more if you want yo keep it shorter.

I don’t take advice from anyone who does that with their hair… He looks like an extra who gets ended in the second act of a B rated mob movie.

Clover mixed with grass is the real king. It’s the way our grasses evolved to exist

  14. @walatalalaw on October 25, 2025 at 12:10 am

Also, all the public spaces that once tried to have a lawn and didnโ€™t maintain it well enough end up having a clover lawn on accident, so I guess itโ€™s pretty tough

  15. @KevinPrice-p7t on October 25, 2025 at 12:11 am

I want a clover lawn so I can feed my rabbits ducks and chickens. But I mostly have Johnson grass ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿคฆ which also feeds them but doesn’t look as nice ๐Ÿ˜…

  16. @Sharon-sw7mr on October 25, 2025 at 12:11 am

"Clover needs very minimal water, if any, to thrive." Maybe clover needs a small amount of water to grow. To say it doesn’t need any water to grow is not believable.

I had to pause her because sheโ€™s away talking absolute pishโ€ฆ โ€˜I picked clover because grass is too resource-heavy!โ€™ Hen, itโ€™s grass. Itโ€™s literally natureโ€™s carpet, itโ€™s been doing fine without your eco-manifesto since the dinosaurs. If you need less maintenance than that, just gravel the lot and call it a Zen retreat.

  30. @DigidesteinedSayian on October 25, 2025 at 12:27 am

I put clover in a pot with pear plants as an experiment to see if it would grow better. Years later, those were the only ones that didn’t die. (although I might have been growing the others wrong.)

  31. @hypulsion4817 on October 25, 2025 at 12:28 am

You know what beats BOTH clover lawns and grass lawns?
    Moss lawns๐Ÿ’ช

  32. @jondennert on October 25, 2025 at 12:29 am

i think the intro needs an edit instead of clover lawns are stupid just say lawns are stupid, you spend all that time growing and mowing when you could be putting that land to good use and growing actual food which you then dont have to buy however if you do plant a clover lawn get urself a goat or a sheep then u dont have to mow it and you can fill the freezer

  33. @Kelvis1stson on October 25, 2025 at 12:29 am

    The Clover Plant

Clover is a small but remarkable plant that belongs to the pea family, also known as Fabaceae. It grows in many parts of the world and is easily recognized by its round leaves, which usually come in groups of three. Although it may seem simple, clover is an important plant for nature, animals, and even human culture.

One of the most special things about clover is the way it helps the soil. Clover has a unique ability to take nitrogen from the air and store it in the ground through its roots. This natural process improves soil health and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers. Farmers often plant clover in their fields to enrich the soil and help other crops grow better.

Clover is also an important food source for many animals. Cows, sheep, and rabbits eat clover because it is rich in nutrients and easy to digest. Bees love clover too, especially when it blooms with white, red, or purple flowers. Clover flowers provide nectar for bees to make honey, making it an essential plant for pollination and healthy ecosystems.

Beyond its environmental benefits, clover has cultural and symbolic meaning. The three-leaf clover, or shamrock, is famously associated with Ireland and is a symbol of good luck and faith. The rare four-leaf clover is even more special,

  34. @bonbonnom30 on October 25, 2025 at 12:31 am

Lets not forget its also a great food source for local grazers from deer to rabbits

  36. @rhino6634 on October 25, 2025 at 12:33 am

  37. @NR-os2cw on October 25, 2025 at 12:33 am

I have grass, but some clovers grow in the grass in patches. The gophers seem to love it. I guess itโ€™s not a good idea for areas with gophers.

  45. @Michaelsmith-ee8zz on October 25, 2025 at 12:43 am

It’s not a stupid trend it’s just that it is stupid that it’s a trend. If people would just quietly put in clover lawns no one would care but they post videos pretending they are saving the world by planted clover. I’m sure within 5 years they will be back to grass as well. As in most cases the people are the root of the stigma, not the end result

  46. @KylewithanL on October 25, 2025 at 12:43 am

Iโ€™ve found two four leaf clovers in my lifeโ€ฆif I remember correctly, itโ€™s one in 14000.
