The Best Axe for Summer Adventures #outdoorgear #bushcraft #campinggear

Surviving in the wild takes no shortage of knowledge, a keen awareness, and tools you can depend on when things go sideways. Gear that multi-tasks is key when every ounce is accounted for. The Bushcraft Axe addresses two primary needs: starting fire and building shelter. The ergonomic design reduces weight and improves grip for long haul use, and the blade features machined relief for deeper cuts. Yet, the genius is in what you can’t see: two gear storage compartments that are water-resistant and can house paracord and a mini size lighter (or fire starting material).

  6. @jakedrange7007 on October 23, 2025 at 10:56 pm

What was the thing he pulled out of the handle?? Anti vibe?

  7. @mnrick1960 on October 23, 2025 at 10:58 pm

    A plastic toy. 😅

  8. @puretranquility8743 on October 23, 2025 at 10:58 pm

Plastic is terrible for handles. Much more feel through the handle meaning hands hurting after a long splitting session. And a normal handle can be fixed or replaced with basic hand tools good luck replacing yours pal

  9. @AlphaPiggy on October 23, 2025 at 11:01 pm

Lmao everyone who have actual axes hating on this. Real dont make plastic hollow handle axes they suc.

  10. @Expiredmayo228 on October 23, 2025 at 11:02 pm

literally one of the worst axes I have ever seen

  11. @itotanianthony on October 23, 2025 at 11:02 pm

This is a toy. Not an axe

  12. @AROOFINNEED on October 23, 2025 at 11:03 pm

Everything you said is the opposite of correctness. Gerber axes in the axe world are the ozark trail knives in the knife world.

  13. @Joe-vr9mj on October 23, 2025 at 11:03 pm

    Campfires are all year

  14. @TJtheTJ on October 23, 2025 at 11:03 pm

DO NOT buy or make a tool with any sort of polymer handle.

  15. @alabastardmasterson on October 23, 2025 at 11:06 pm

    Gerber is trash

  16. @cecilmackjr4546 on October 23, 2025 at 11:07 pm

Looks like some more useless plastic s*** to me that thing is useless as s*** on a stick

  17. @Jedaiah-iy9ru on October 23, 2025 at 11:13 pm

What does it mean, "wood axes get gross in the sun"?
Are there companies out there selling dull axes that arent rey to use?

  18. @ike8236 on October 23, 2025 at 11:15 pm

It’s funny these people saying "wood handle, wood handle" because they don’t like something new, yet i bet they lined up for all the boosters 😂

  19. @Tometagg on October 23, 2025 at 11:15 pm

Any wooden axe is better than that

  20. @Adam_Swagert on October 23, 2025 at 11:15 pm

Cool, if you can’t maintain your wooden axe.

  21. @daleyfun2247 on October 23, 2025 at 11:16 pm

It’s a neat concept. I’ve had several gerber knives and they’ve all been junk, so I’ll be stearing clear of this thing. A good way to rebuild trust is making solid tools instead of gimmicky junk.

  22. @H8FULL1 on October 23, 2025 at 11:16 pm

    Seriously ?! LMAO !

  23. @wetcoastbushcraft on October 23, 2025 at 11:17 pm

I’ve broken eveet Gerber product I’ve ever tried. My cold steel hawk has a wooden handle I’ve tried to break and can’t.. andnif i do..its easier to replace.. also feels better in the hand..sorry Gerber is kinda poo

  24. @0ntoowheels on October 23, 2025 at 11:20 pm

That plastic insert is dog shit. Axe itself is good.

  25. @Mole-Skin on October 23, 2025 at 11:22 pm

I NEVER chop Wood right outta the gate..

  26. @BenMarohn-zq6oe on October 23, 2025 at 11:25 pm

"old wood axes break, get gross in the sun……". when you say stupid stuff like that you lose all credibility…

  27. @hellvaal on October 23, 2025 at 11:29 pm

    charming

  28. @Boogie0331 on October 23, 2025 at 11:30 pm

No. No it doesn’t mean campfires. Its 106 in Florida.

  29. @PartsArts on October 23, 2025 at 11:32 pm

I broke the handle of one of these chopping wood it lasted 2 weeks and that’s being generous.

  30. @Brokebackfountain69420 on October 23, 2025 at 11:32 pm

Lmao an axe doesn’t need bells and whistles enough with the gimmicks

  31. @Nitrofox2112 on October 23, 2025 at 11:33 pm

Summer means burn bans and gas stoves. I’ll keep my Estwing when I’m chopping wood this fall. I don’t need that plastic toy, I’ll stick with all steel, TVM

  32. @gunnerhiro394 on October 23, 2025 at 11:34 pm

Heavy duty and weighs a ton.

  33. @YungIroh on October 23, 2025 at 11:35 pm

The very second you pulled something out of that axe handle, i knew it was trash.

  34. @alexcathey4165 on October 23, 2025 at 11:36 pm

You break that handle you’re never gonna be able to fix it

  35. @Z3n1tHL0rD on October 23, 2025 at 11:38 pm

if the handle breaks its junk…

  36. @hellvaal on October 23, 2025 at 11:40 pm

    wooow

  37. @Jonathanwalker316 on October 23, 2025 at 11:40 pm

Why are comment sections so extremely cynical these days. Like you guys probably haven’t ever used the axe and just straight up thrash it.

  38. @adventures_with_jeff on October 23, 2025 at 11:40 pm

If a wood handle breaks you can replace it, Id love to see this re-handled with basic tools

  39. @Connectthebrain on October 23, 2025 at 11:41 pm

    But Not Sharp

  40. @Ursa-Le0 on October 23, 2025 at 11:41 pm

We did not like the axe gerber , but we love our made in Portland knives like my strong-arm and the arm bar mini multitool

  41. @turquoisephoenix6548 on October 23, 2025 at 11:42 pm

Wood is far more comfortable to swing than some plastic, at least with a wood handle its not completely useless cause you can still replace it if it breaks, this literally just becomes trash after the handle breaks.

  42. @alexanderfenning8648 on October 23, 2025 at 11:44 pm

I have used both and sun like does not hurt wood handled axes at all but the new stuff is for people that done want to take the time to look after the tools they.

  43. @Basement_CNC on October 23, 2025 at 11:44 pm

Yeah good luck replacing the handle on that thing………I’ll take a proper axe in my bug out bag 😂

  44. @briansteele5618 on October 23, 2025 at 11:44 pm

    That brand is trash

  45. @KareFreee on October 23, 2025 at 11:46 pm

Gerber: the company that allowed a dude who doesn’t go outdoors to design an axe.

A axe isn’t a folding knife , why tf is that handle hollow

  46. @99999batman on October 23, 2025 at 11:47 pm

    Summertime means campfire?

  47. @MrLoobu on October 23, 2025 at 11:47 pm

Plastic doesn’t break or get gross in sun guys.

  48. @bigDicAndy420 on October 23, 2025 at 11:48 pm

    Stick to multi tools
