Ok saw it, long arm quilting. I live in a heavily Amish populated area. There is a place I can take it to have a quilt design

I love the simplicity of the cutting/measuring, putting together and simple sewing of this pattern. I get overwhelmed with videos I watch with so many cuts, angles, measurements and trying to sew them all perfectly. My mom quilted when I was a child (a long time ago) lol. I do miss seeing hand quilting in the various ways my mom did it. It looked homey. Your quilting pattern is beautiful, as are all that I see, but once a quilt top is machine quilted all I see is a store bought look. I can appreciate the ease of doing by machine and the time saved. I’m a beginner and done only 2 very simple baby quilts and quilted them by hand. I love the look and its a nod to my Mom’s memory. I might change my mind when I graduate to bigger sizes.😊

  5. @Sally-ih6ls on October 4, 2025 at 10:18 pm

New Quilter here! When you say 10 inch square, is that literally because I am trying to find a 10 quilt square but they are 10.5

  7. @RejeanneCote-f8e on October 4, 2025 at 10:20 pm

I find this pattern easy enough to share with some of my grand babies who are wanting to learn how to sew. Thank you bunches.

I need help! I am brand new and this was going to be my first quilt. Sadly, I incorrectly cut four 9×5 squares incorrectly. I have 4 fat squares from the collection that I didn’t use. The reason they were not chosen was because I liked the other fabrics better. Do I sub out one 5×9 in four different blocks or sub out all the fabrics that I messed up and replace with the not first choice fat quarter fabric? The ones that I ruined have a slice partway through at the 4 inch mark. I wonder how noticeable it would be. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  16. @VickiWine on October 4, 2025 at 10:32 pm

Do we use several different fat quarters that coordinate, or just pick 2 or 4 and use several?

  17. @margetucker1133 on October 4, 2025 at 10:34 pm

It would be tremendously helpful to begin with the NUMBER of fat quarters…to make (insert size of the quilt)….As it stands…your video doesn’t give the specifics of what is being created until the end.

Thank you. I have a tip for quicker assembly. Instead of cutting the individual rectangles, leave the 9" strips whole. Then pair two different ones together and sew a single seam on one long edge. Then sub-cut that strip unit into four 5" units. Boom! No fussing with individual small rectangles. Then lay out those sub-cut 2-block units in alternate directions and sew together along the long edges. Done.

  35. @QuiltingFlowers on October 4, 2025 at 10:56 pm

I’ve just started my quilting journey. I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your videos! Just found you in the last couple of days. I like that you don’t mess around with silliness. Show us what to cut, how to sew it, BOOM, here’s the finished quilt! I really like that you show the backing and thread choice!

STOP! I get the idea of the top part. And the filler did you use warm & natural. Ok that doesn’t matter however do you have a quilt machine where you did the quilting pattern.?

Hi. New to your channel. I’m a woodworker looking to start upholstering my custom furniture. I noticed the ruler you were using, but didn’t see any link to get that specific ruler. If you could provide that link, I’d really appreciate it. Beautiful work by the way.
