Annual Bransten Lecture with Rose B. Simpson
Join us for our ninth annual Bransten Lecture with multidisciplinary artist Rose B. Simpson. Working in ceramic, bronze, performance, and art cars, her practice centers around the figure as a proxy to address the emotional and existential impacts of global humanity. Simpson will discuss her practice and her upcoming exhibition “LEXICON,” which will transform Wilsey Court into a Southwest environment through a large mural and two custom cars.
Alaska Native Art
Our multipart docuseries on Alaska Native Art features cultural practitioners from different regions of Alaska, and explores these cross-cultural themes: Family, Sustenance, Transportation, and Celebration. Their voices enliven the collection and connect historical objects to contemporary communities.
