Hey, you do you. If it’s easier and faster for you, go for it. Ignore the haters. You’re allowed to waste logs if they’re yours. Same thing goes for time.

    Who cares what people think

  3. @TheCosmicRealm3 on August 12, 2025 at 8:00 pm

I could give a shit less if people "think" it isn’t considered a real log cabin. It’s made of logs, and it will keep you out of the elements.

Good enough for Skip, good enough for me.

  5. @mikealvo3910 on August 12, 2025 at 8:05 pm

Is there some type of adhesive placed between the logs? Something to seal them?

  6. @Schxndr on August 12, 2025 at 8:07 pm

Me: if its made of logs then it is logs

  7. @7eventy4our on August 12, 2025 at 8:08 pm

I just played sons of the forest and I’m craving a lifestyle like this bro 😂

  8. @TwistedGorillaFab on August 12, 2025 at 8:08 pm

Not to mention you do not have to wait or the logs to season a year. Cut, debark and install!

  9. @JoshuaBryant-v4g on August 12, 2025 at 8:08 pm

All I see in Knoxville is a bunch of men butt does that count.

  10. @borttorbbq2556 on August 12, 2025 at 8:10 pm

Are you building a cabin-like structure from logs it’s a log cabin

  11. @Tor128 on August 12, 2025 at 8:12 pm

Where do i find those nails?

  12. @JohnnyGat-ym4yh on August 12, 2025 at 8:15 pm

    Interesting and informative

  13. @Richard-j3z on August 12, 2025 at 8:17 pm

We always spiked both types of cabins just makes a longer lasting cabin and saves chinking in the long run

  14. @riggidolo on August 12, 2025 at 8:17 pm

    Metta build

  15. @christ_is_better_then_satan on August 12, 2025 at 8:19 pm

The people who criticize it never built a log cabin

  16. @jakaubspina on August 12, 2025 at 8:20 pm

Why do you talk like you are dexter

  17. @iambeloved496 on August 12, 2025 at 8:20 pm

How do you get the logs though, let alone same diameter?

  18. @dannicaruana2190 on August 12, 2025 at 8:22 pm

    Goooo team!! ❤

  19. @Kevin-zd9vk on August 12, 2025 at 8:24 pm

Doing good bother keep it up

  20. @beloved_lover on August 12, 2025 at 8:26 pm

I mean the log cabin is a log cabin if it has logs in it. Most haters wont ever build one themselves, because they never start. Much respect for the butt and pass log cabins, although I like the look of notched logs.

  21. @joeym8158 on August 12, 2025 at 8:27 pm

What kind of logs are you using

  22. @estellaknox9285 on August 12, 2025 at 8:27 pm

    Very interesting and looks great

  23. @beryean1366 on August 12, 2025 at 8:28 pm

Notching takes longer. Cutting, hacking, measuring and measuring some more. 😅

  24. @donarthiazi2443 on August 12, 2025 at 8:30 pm

Will it also help to prevent cracks from forming as the home _settles_ over the years?

  25. @JuiceK1ng0range on August 12, 2025 at 8:37 pm

Where can I get logs for things like this

  26. @dandaniels4558 on August 12, 2025 at 8:37 pm

Its logs and your building them into a cabin for godsake. Whos being so technical that they think they know everything and their way is the only way to build a long cabin?
Someone lacking common sense im guessing 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🙄😅

  27. @joeym8158 on August 12, 2025 at 8:37 pm

    That’s a Lincoln log cabin

  28. @John-if4vz on August 12, 2025 at 8:42 pm

Ask the old mountain men if they’d give a shit whether or not it’s notched

  29. @MannyAnning on August 12, 2025 at 8:45 pm

    Sounds like MGK talking

  30. @PreacherBoy1984 on August 12, 2025 at 8:47 pm

My home which is 2,400 ft² is a butt and pass log house. Never heard anyone considerate them less of a log structure only due to the style in which the logs are placed.

  31. @Yalltrippingggg3233 on August 12, 2025 at 8:47 pm

With chainsaws i dont get why people dont run jt between the logs filled it with some good construction adhesive n then squeeze them together u wouldnt need to chink them

  32. @spp0c532 on August 12, 2025 at 8:48 pm

first time builder, here to tell you whats best

  33. @riggidolo on August 12, 2025 at 8:49 pm

    This build is fire

  34. @matthaft2048 on August 12, 2025 at 8:51 pm

Whoever says must have never read the accounts from the Lewis and Clark expedition. Specifically the one where they talk about burning down their log shelters when they’d pack up and move to a new spot because they needed to recover their Iron nails they brought with to build the next site

  35. @Manfran on August 12, 2025 at 8:51 pm

    Looks great! 🤙

  36. @John-if4vz on August 12, 2025 at 8:56 pm
