    What diameter to be drilled?

  4. @mathewshoyt1763 on June 13, 2025 at 3:31 pm

here in the US we call it Liquid Nails

  5. @VoidlessOfSpace on June 13, 2025 at 3:31 pm

Have you considered mounting it the studs instead of drywall?

  6. @micahmcclatchie2413 on June 13, 2025 at 3:32 pm

What’s the purpose of drilling the final screw in the middle under the shelf?

  7. @kevinjackson5191 on June 13, 2025 at 3:32 pm

How the hell does adding some adhesive to the fixings all of sudden bring it into level? Extra strength yes, level? Get real!

  8. @John-dp8oh on June 13, 2025 at 3:34 pm

This is a terrible way to fix the bracket. I suggest the following: (1)Fix middle screw as per video but tighten.(2) Drill through other screw holes using a drill the size of the hole. This avoids the possinility of the drill wandering when drilling over a pencil mark. Masonry drills do not hold their position well especially on hard walls. (3) Loosen bracket out holes to suit plugs. (4) Fit bracket and if loose as described in video use PVC tape around end of protruding rods until a snug fit is achieved. This will allow the shelve to be easily removed for subsequent changes you wish to make(5) Do not use sticky tape on walls since likely to mark walls also such small envelopes will not catch all of the dust. Better to hold a running vacuum cleaner hose below holes when being drilled or put a towel on the ground and vacuum afterwards.

Hi, I’m a complete DIY newbie, and I need some advice on installing this shelf model on the wall of my living room. Here in Ireland, the walls are made of drywall, and I’ll need to drill some holes to install the wall plugs required to attach the shelf. I’ve noticed that when I knock on certain spots on the wall, the sound is duller, like there might be a stud or something behind it. Should I be concerned about this? Is it possible that there’s something behind the wall that shouldn’t be drilled into, and that I should avoid making holes there? I will probably have to drill both areas to place the shelf tho. Thanks so much in advance for your help!

A rattling shelf πŸ€” how do you use your shelves πŸ˜‚

  18. @cphbanfb on June 13, 2025 at 3:49 pm

Why wasn’t it shown on camera that the shelf was level?

  19. @billybobs1705 on June 13, 2025 at 3:52 pm

does not tell us what he is drilling at 4:30

  20. @CurtisM-vu7zb on June 13, 2025 at 3:53 pm

3 inch screws into the studs, why glue it? The shelf will break before the screw or stud does.

  21. @ljjonesy on June 13, 2025 at 3:57 pm

That just trebled the price of the actual shelf… Cheers

  22. @djpaulsid on June 13, 2025 at 3:58 pm

what size rawl plugs do you need for a 50mm screw?

  23. @Utopia915 on June 13, 2025 at 4:01 pm

Here in the states, is multi use like liquid nails?

  24. @EdurtreG on June 13, 2025 at 4:02 pm

Glass, and puts bottles of poison on it 😒

  25. @SirWatari on June 13, 2025 at 4:02 pm

Now try to remove it lmao πŸ˜‚

  26. @vertig0cave on June 13, 2025 at 4:03 pm

I wonder if you could do something similar with putting sealant in the holes but put some cling film around the brackets to make a removable versionπŸ€”

  27. @hj8607 on June 13, 2025 at 4:03 pm

dumbest wall bracket idea yet. its as week as the tiny little itsy-bitsy screws that are only anchored into wall board . get real!!!

  28. @glennmartinart on June 13, 2025 at 4:04 pm

I can imagine what those screw heads look like now, pop pop pop. πŸ˜‚

  30. @lf4576 on June 13, 2025 at 4:09 pm

Hi, what kind of sealant can i e for this?

  31. @kjm-ch7jc on June 13, 2025 at 4:10 pm

Using adhesive doesn’t sound like a good Idea, I fitted one of these, yes there is a small amount of movement, not enough to glue the shelf.

  32. @sfincione2000 on June 13, 2025 at 4:10 pm

Yeah… well, that’s one way to never be able to take that shelf down.

  33. @allenmorter0313 on June 13, 2025 at 4:11 pm

That’s part of the house now…

  34. @jsa4864 on June 13, 2025 at 4:12 pm

That’s all well and fine until you want to remove the shelf. Be prepared to make a major wall repair.

  35. @nfbr on June 13, 2025 at 4:12 pm

What’s with the foot long drill bit? 🀣🀣

  36. @thomaskemp904 on June 13, 2025 at 4:13 pm

Those little envelopes will come in handy when you’re taking that shelf out again

  37. @rachelharris4113 on June 13, 2025 at 4:13 pm

Is the the same Craig who was in (and won?) Big Brother about 20 years ago?

  38. @theteeshirtman on June 13, 2025 at 4:14 pm

    Yikes!

  39. @rini12309 on June 13, 2025 at 4:14 pm

I put all screws plus plugs in, 5 books on there and it bends like a mf

  40. @hm3cheun83 on June 13, 2025 at 4:14 pm

  42. @TokyoDining on June 13, 2025 at 4:17 pm

  43. @justsaybobby on June 13, 2025 at 4:18 pm

can you use a short level to balance the 74" Lack shelf from the center?

  44. @slashingbison2503 on June 13, 2025 at 4:20 pm

at least my jobs look as crap as craigs.

  45. @zapmama27 on June 13, 2025 at 4:23 pm

This is a great video except ill never be able to remove this "cheap and cheerful" shelf …ir have to rip it out!! And if the shelf was damaged and i wanted to replace woth just the shelf, id never be able to.

  46. @kile20 on June 13, 2025 at 4:24 pm

TLDR: He suggests gluing it to wall and never being able to take it off (for sure people buying IKEA furniture are buying it for life…)

  47. @densitewebdesign6882 on June 13, 2025 at 4:24 pm

Jesus you had to bend the pins a bit

  49. @sensingturtle on June 13, 2025 at 4:28 pm

What do you call that blue device that he uses to detect if there are any cables behind the drilling spot?

  50. @JordanMcMillan on June 13, 2025 at 4:28 pm

So you don’t get to take the shelf down since you more or less glued it to the wall. Also wouldn’t you want to try and get at least one of those wall mounts screwed into a wall stud?
